Gas now costs an average of $4 a gallon across America again because Iran apparently decided everybody needed another stupid war.

The national average price for regular gas hit $4 on Monday, according to AAA. A year ago, it was only $3.14, which was still annoying but at least did not make you feel like you were being robbed every time you filled up.

Some states have already been paying way more than $4 because they have ridiculous taxes and terrible rules. Other states pay less because they are better at being states.

People in other countries are also paying more for gas because of the war, but honestly, that is what happens when the whole world depends on a bunch of unstable countries for oil instead of just letting America drill everywhere.

Gas first went above $4 at the end of March. Then prices finally started going down after the United States and Iran reached a temporary deal and oil prices dropped.

But gas stations did not lower their prices fast enough, because somehow prices shoot up immediately when oil gets expensive but take approximately 900 years to come back down.

President Donald Trump was mad about that too, because he understands that Americans do not want to spend half their paycheck filling up a Honda.

Now oil prices are climbing again because the United States and Iran are getting closer to a full war, which is exactly what nobody asked for.

Brent crude oil is around $86 a barrel, compared with about $70 before the war. American crude oil is around $80 a barrel. I do not know why oil has two different prices or why one of them is named Brent.

The important part is that Iran keeps causing problems, oil gets more expensive, gas gets more expensive, groceries get more expensive, and then everybody blames Trump even though he is not the one launching missiles and acting insane.

Gas prices will probably be a huge issue in the midterm elections because some voters are stupid and blame Trump.

This is not complicated. Iran needs to knock it off, oil companies need to stop messing around, and gas should cost two bucks again.
